About us.

Initially born from a partnership with Real Patisserie, our shop opened its doors in July 2012. Despite keeping close ties with the group who still supplies us daily with its delicious bread, pains au chocolat and croissants, we became independent in January 2015.

Driven by our shared passion for artisan French pâtisserie and for travelling, Hélène and I met in 1997 at the Berkeley 5 star Hotel where I was working as a pastry chef.  

Over the years, we then experienced amazing work opportunities in Cardiff (Wales), Beirut (Lebanon) and back to Paray-le-Monial in France, where we ran for 7 years a traditional French bakery and pastry shop.

In 2012, longing to do something different, once again we set out to continue our journey, this time deciding to move to England with our 3 sons, and in 2018 our family journey has finally led us all to becoming "La Pâtisserie"!

Still family owned and run, we have worked hard to maintain our reputation for creating everything from delicious artisan cakes and savouries to cosmopolitan coffees, making us the number one choice for people looking for a great place to stop and take five.

With our friendly and professional team, we really feel a part of the Shoreham community and look forward to giving all our customers, both old and new, a very warm welcome soon!
